My decision to run for Town Council really started with getting involved in issues surrounding Quonset and seeing firsthand how decisions made at the local level can affect residents and their neighborhoods. That experience led me to become more involved in what was happening throughout North Kingstown, from development and planning to transparency and resident concerns. The more I learned and listened, the more I realized I wanted to take a more active role in making sure residents have a voice in the decisions shaping our town.
Strengthen protections between commercial or industrial development and residential neighborhoods, including appropriate setbacks, landscaping, noise mitigation, and other buffers that protect residents’ quality of life.
As North Kingstown grows, I want development and redevelopment to preserve the character and charm that make our town special rather than allowing growth that could make our community feel increasingly overdeveloped or generic.
Protect North Kingstown’s drinking water and groundwater by making water quality a priority when considering development, land use, infrastructure, and potential environmental impacts.

School-zone safety should always come first, but we should also evaluate alternatives and improvements that actually encourage drivers to slow down rather than relying primarily on automated ticketing.
Make sure new development is appropriate for its location and that North Kingstown considers the cumulative impact on traffic, roads, schools, water, public services, and surrounding neighborhoods before approving additional growth.
Residents should know what is being proposed in their community early enough to meaningfully participate. I want clearer communication, greater transparency, and more opportunities for residents to be heard before major decisions are made.
